Jason Brownrigg is an American writer, director, and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, New York and a student at NYU’s Graduate Film program.

Jason had a successful career as a fashion and portrait photographer but fell in love with filmmaking seven years ago while shooting a documentary about land-speed motorcycle racing.

Having come from a camera background, cinematography at first seemed to be the most appealing approach, but building worlds and characters to inhabit them seduced him into pursuing a career as a writer and director. Suspense, drama and mystery interest him the most. His short film, “The Wait” (2019) is an espionage thriller, currently in post production.

His cinematography work has won awards in China, Chile and the United States.
